A new partnership of local history groups producing a radio show, two websites, a free magazine and a film was launched on Wednesday 8th February at Anglia Ruskin University. Cambridge History Enterprises (CHE) links the university with the Cambridge branch of the Historical Association, Cambridge Film and Video, Envision Television,Envision Radio and the Time Traveller Media Group (TTMG) to plan a varied range of talks, interviews, podcasts, films and events for anyone interested in history.  The Cambridge Time Travellers radio show, originally founded by Fonz Chamberlain of the TTMG and produced by Edd Stonham, will air on Envision radio with history items and interviews by students from Anglia Ruskin and from Cambridge University.  A new documentary about All Saints’ Church, Jesus Lane, The Church that Rose from the Dead, produced by Matt Harris of Cambridge Film and Video and presented by Dr Sean Lang of ARU, will be shown on Envision TV.  A new free history magazine for Cambridge, History Fix, has been produced by ARU students for the Cambridge branch of the Historical Association and will be hitting the streets in the next few days.

Cambridge will get a Community TV License

Cambridge will be one of 24 locations to get a community TV License in the second round of license applications.

Along with  Berdeen, Ayr, Bangor, Barnstaple, Basingstoke, Bedford, Carlisle, Derry / Londonderry, Dundee, Guildford, Hereford, Inverness, Kidderminster, Limavady, Luton, Maidstone, Malvern, Mold, Salisbury, Sheffield, Stoke on Trent, Stratford upon Avon and York.

‘New stations will provide local communities with programming relevant to their daily lives’ says Jeremy Hunt.

MP Julian Huppert Gives Envision TV Support for Local TV Bid

DCMS Proposals for Cambridge Pioneer location submitted

Envision TV has submitted detailed proposals on why Cambridge should be a pioneer location for Local Community TV.  With Support from many groups as well as from our Local MP Julian Huppert we believe Envision has made a great case for our City to be chosen.

Envision has been working since the inception of the Local TV project and many of our plans and model have been included in the Local TV proposals.

We believe the Technical aspects of broadcasting from Madingley, Cambridge will allow us to best placed to get the service up very quickly.  With a expected viewing figures based around 83,000  we believe the Community will be able to show case a lot of good work which is done in the Cambridge area.

Cambridge Lives ..Actors Press Launch

Cambridge Lives Cast

On the 20 August 2011 the cast where released to the press for our soap Cambridge Live’s

The Central Library  saw a packed room with members of cast and press.

The cast will now be working on read through’s and preparation for filming which will be start during mid September.  The show will have it’s first screening on the 23rd November.

The Soap will then be aired once a week as of January 2012.

 

Cambridge Lives was developed by Fonz Chamberlain for Envision Television Ltd,  the show has actors are all from the community and have either no formal training or have have studied acting and media studies.
